JOB OVERVIEW
- City Neon is seeking a Fabricator to join our growing production team. This hands-on role is responsible for constructing, assembling, and preparing custom commercial signage, LED displays, and architectural sign systems according to approved production drawings and quality standards.
The ideal candidate takes pride in skilled craftsmanship, enjoys solving fabrication challenges, and has experience working with metal fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or construction processes. This position plays a critical role in bringing large-scale visual experiences to life for commercial clients across the region and beyond.
Fabricators work closely with project managers, production teams, and installation crews to ensure products are built accurately, efficiently, and ready for successful installation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate custom commercial signage, LED displays, and architectural sign systems according to production drawings; perform cutting, welding, drilling, grinding, and assembly operations; construct sign cabinets, structural components, frames, and assemblies; prepare fabricated products for paint, graphics application, and installation; operate fabrication equipment, power tools, and shop machinery safely; review drawings, materials, and work instructions before beginning projects; identify material issues, drawing concerns, or fabrication challenges; maintain high standards of craftsmanship, accuracy, and quality; complete assigned projects according to production schedules; maintain organized work areas, tools, and equipment; follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements; collaborate with fabrication, production, and installation teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of fabrication, welding, manufacturing, construction, or related experience; ability to read and interpret production drawings and shop instructions; experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment; strong attention to detail and craftsmanship; ability to lift, carry, and work in a physically demanding production environment; commitment to workplace safety and quality standards; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
NICE TO HAVE
- Commercial signage fabrication experience; MIG, TIG, or aluminum welding experience; experience with illuminated signage or LED displays; CNC equipment experience; metal fabrication experience; forklift certification; OSHA safety training; electrical signage experience.
